The 2024 NFL Draft begins on Thursday in Detroit and is one of the most popular offseason sports betting events on the calendar each year.

Online sportsbooks welcome the draft by offering tons of betting markets related to the event, so below we’ve compiled some of our favorite 2024 NFL Draft predictions and best bets from sites like DraftKings, FanDuel and more.

2024 NFL Draft Predictions: Michael Penix Jr. drafted by the Las Vegas Raiders (+260 or better)

The Las Vegas Raiders quarterback depth chart features Gardner Minshew, Aidan O’Connell and Anthony Brown, none of whom are the long-term solution in Vegas.

Michael Penix Jr. spoke highly of new head coach Antonio Pierce throughout the pre-draft process and would be able to showcase his talents almost immediately, following the departure of Josh Jacobs.

The Raiders line was graded by Pro Football Focus as a top-10 unit a year ago, and Davante Adams is still one of the biggest playmaking receivers in the league. The fit and need both make sense.

2024 NFL Draft Predictions: Rome Odunze over 8.5 draft position (+120 or better)

The general belief is that Marvin Harrison Jr. and Malik Nabers will be off the board by the time Washington receiver Rome Odunze is picked.

The Los Angeles Chargers also have the opportunity to shake up the draft if they want to trade back and allow a team to move up for J.J. McCarthy, though Jim Harbaugh’s philosophy suggests they’ll still go with a position other than receiver if they stay at No. 5.

The top three picks will be quarterbacks, the Titans need an offensive lineman and just splashed the cash on Calvin Ridley and Deandre Hopkins, and the Falcons need help on the defensive line.

Assuming all of the above plays out, Odunze simply doesn’t fit anywhere in the top eight picks.

2024 NFL Draft Predictions: Malik Nabers sixth pick (+150 or better)

LSU’s Malik Nabers is considered the second-best wide receiver in the draft behind MHJ.

While the Cardinals will likely take Harrison Jr. if they stay at fourth, the Chargers are likely to emphasize defense and line help based on Harbaugh’s history. They could also trade back, which would leave Nabers on the board for the New York Giants at No. 6.

The G-Men gave Daniel Jones $160 million but have not surrounded him with any real playmakers and lost Saquon Barkley in free agency. Nabers would immediately become the No. 1 option in the offense.

2024 NFL Draft Predictions: Broncos’ first pick position DL/edge (+200 or better)

The buzz coming out of Denver was that they’d select Oregon quarterback Bo Nix at No. 10, but that was before they traded to acquire Zach Wilson from the Jets.

Although Wilson is likely not the long-term solution in Mile High, it’s possible that Sean Payton does not view any of the prospects that will be available when he picks that highly, and he plans on taking a QB next year.

If that is the case, Payton would probably look to bolster a weak defensive line with Byron Murphy II, Dallas Turner or Laiatu Latu.

2024 NFL Draft Predictions: Dallas Turner Top 10 pick (-105 or better) 

Alabama linebacker Dallas Turner was arguably the best edge rusher in college and will be a hot commodity at a position of extreme importance.

We mentioned the Chargers as a possible landing spot for a defensive player, but the Falcons are the most likely destination, seeing as they were only one sack outside of the bottom 10 in the league.

Turner led Alabama with 10 sacks and two forced fumbles a year ago and will see the field immediately. There’s even the possibility a team trades up to get him in the top 10.
