Steelers Advised to Trade George Pickens | Noah Strackbein, signed deal.

NBC Sports’ Charles Robinson and Michael Smith have urged the Steelers to make a move this offseason, removing the wideout from the locker room.

“We have to figure out what’s going on with George Pickens,” Robinson said. “I would assess whether he should be in the organization for another year. Given what’s going on with him, I would consider trading him.”

Steelers’ Mike Tomlin says confidence isn’t shaken despite team’s collapse | Mark Kaboly, The Athletic

It sure appeared that Tomlin’s confidence was shaken after losing to 2-10 Arizona, 2-10 New England and then Indianapolis in 14 days, going from what could have been 10-4 and fighting for a division title instead of 7-7 and possibly Tomlin’s first losing season ever.

“One week you’re drinking wine, and next week you’re squashing grapes,” Tomlin said Monday. “Obviously, we squashed a lot of grapes as of late. I’m interested in a little wine.”

It sure sounded like he was hearing the outside chatter — about the possibility of his time with the Steelers ending after 17 years — getting louder and louder.
