WATCH: Frustrated LeBron James tells Lakers coaches to “bring that guy here” after teammate’s decision
In a Saturday night win, LeBron James showed his frustration with teammate Rui Hachimura for not passing during a key moment, telling Lakers coaches, “bring that mother f***er here.” Hachimura missed a contested shot after LeBron’s impressive scoring run, where he tallied 16 of 18 Lakers points, propelling them from a fourth-quarter deficit to a lead.
The Lakers quickly called timeout, and James’ frustration with Hachimura’s shot choice was picked up on the broadcast. He remarked, “I made 10 in a row, he wants a pull-up, contested two? Swing, swing, mother —er.”
Hachimura redeemed himself shortly after by grabbing an offensive rebound and hitting two free throws. Despite this moment, Hachimura had a strong game, finishing with 18 points, nine rebounds, and three assists, including two to James during his explosive fourth-quarter performance.
James’ surge turned a close game into a 14-point lead in under three minutes. Now averaging 23 points per game, the four -time MVP is maintaining exceptional form even as his 40th birthday nears.
Reflecting on his rhythm, James shared, “Had my outside shot going, got a few inside too.” First-year head coach J.J. Redick praised James, calling his performance “insane.”
Meanwhile, Anthony Davis continued his strong start, scoring over 30 points and grabbing nine rebounds. The Lakers, aiming to stay unbeaten, will face the Phoenix Suns on Monday at 10 p.m.
